Translation: The beach was fun! OOOH yeah!
Ahhh.. YES.... the PERFECT weather for a beach outing!
Two Saturdays ago, a bunch of us Kairos folks went to Montara State Beach in Pacifica and it was SPECTACULAR!
Friday’s Forecast: 58 degrees as a high; rain w/ chance of showers; cloudy; DREARY
Saturday’s Forecast: 67 degrees as as high; PERFECT w/ a chance of PERFECT clouds and PERFECT sunshine, no rain and SPECTACULAR!
Sunday’s Forecast: 55 degrees as a high; rain w/ chance of thunderstorms; GLOOMY
Haha, others laughed at Rick when he said we’re goin’ to the beach. “Gosh, it’ll be dang cold!” “It might rain!” “Noooo… you’re goin’ to the beach in this weather?!” But lo and behold! Pleasantly surprised w/… yes you guessed it… PERFECT weather, all of Kairos headed on over to the beautiful coast along Hwy 1 and cruised on down to Montara Beach. Beauteous.
Once we got our feet, pants, and shoes filled w/ sand trekking down to setup camp, we played a few games of volleyball, football, frisbee and our very own frisball (invented by some of the girls) – combination of catch frisbee and football. Yay! The bold and adventurous type even went down to see if they could catch some crabs! To no avail, the crabs took the bait… but didn’t really take the bait (if ya know whudda mean). They were smarter than we thought and escaped unscathed!

This is what happens whenever the VBall falls off the slight ledge…. our guys run to try to save it before the waves get to it. As Johnny is running towards the slope, note the VBall is still behind him IN the waves! And if you can imagine us standing and watching and of course… YELLING at him to get the ball before it’s too late! Quite a scene…
Ahh yes… the good schtuff. Hot links, rice pilaf, good ol’ chili, grilled veggie pack, and some good fun!
