Ok… long overdue. GLive recap. Hopefully, by now, we’ve all gotten over the post-GLive blues…
Man, I still can’t believe it sometimes, that our church coming together as one body, united for one purpose… can deliver this great message of the gospel crystal clearly through this production. Hearing stories one after another of people really being impacted by the messages through the skits have been so amazing!
For me, it was wonderful being able to work w/ the freshman class, from learning the dance moves (yikes) to working on prologue images (that would be projected on the screen for the frosh scene) w/ Jacqui Poon & Sieun Seo from Koinonia. Those nights working together were so precious as once again I experienced the teamwork and authentic desire to see everything be put together through our greatest efforts for all it’s worth – the gospel!
And doing makeup the day of, getting a chance to see face-to-face all the freshmen as I was powdering them face to face. Haha… Cheering them on in the hallway, loudly and silently when the performers were on stage! It was quite a nostalgic experience as I remember the time I was in that same hallway of Willard Middle School w/ my peers our junior year and having the staff powder our noses, organize our costumes time and time again, reading through script after script, rooting and cheering us on as we neared stage time!
With countless more stories and different impacting moments GLive has rendered in so many people’s lives, I anticipate this year and the years to come at Gracepoint w/ joy and excitement! Hey, check out the cool intro video masterminded by our very own Kairos 2’s Abe Yang!

Wow, as we’re all probably looking forward to the DVD, let’s remember all the memory-making moments together, the team huddles, the encouragement, the people who came, the fellowship (not to mention all the yummy food!), the inspiring moments, and more importantly the message of the gospel tried and true, that hits every person at the very core.

If you’re unfamiliar with what G-Live (or Gracepoint Live) is all about, it’s a big production our church (Gracepoint Fellowship) puts on every 2 years. This year, the entire college department is participating in this event, pulling off everything from skits, dancing, acting to prop-building and prop-moving, audio, video, lighting, special effects. Of course it’s not JUST about all the pizazz… but there’s also the PROCESS of all of us coming together for the greater purpose! Amazing?! Yeah, well, we’re running on some crazy fuel and we’re in something called G-Live mode as we near this amazing event that will leave you speechless! We’re looking forward to all that will happen on Saturday and for those of ya’ll invited to join us, we hope you’ll really enjoy GRACEPOINT LIVE 2009!!

Yesterday, we took a practice break and went to Tilman Park for some smashin’ sports and really really delish burgers! Mmmm… the bbq sauce was “da bomb!”
